There was an excellent turnout at the Somora HQ for a special training evening featuring the advanced polishing technology of German manufacturer Menzerna over the summer months.

Saban Uslu from Menzerna Germany visited Somora to demonstrate the outstanding performance of a selection of Menzerna polishes, compounds and sealers to a diverse group of attendees that featured, bodyshops, detailers and retailers. All left very impressed with the ease of use of the products and the fast, high quality results they produce.  

Menzerna has a pedigree in polishing that dates back to 1888. It is regarded as a true innovator in it  field, something that is reflected by it products being utilised by many prestige vehicle manufacturers. The advanced formulations differ from normal polishing technology in that they contain no fillers. This gives them an exceptional level of performance and also offers faster processing speeds and greater economy. The Menzerna range features compounds, swirl removers, polishes, finishes and sealers.

On the evening, Saban started by showing the difference between Menzerna 300 and 400 cutting compounds, demonstrating the different cuts by using a standard and a lambswool pad. Menzerna 300 is a high-performance compound that is excellent for the removal of 1200 grit sanding marks in a short time, while Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 is ideal for a great finish on clearcoats.

Saban then moved on to the impressive 3500, and 3800 finishing compounds which produce an outstanding level of finish. He finished off by showing the gloss from Menzerna Sealing Wax and locked all of the work down with Powerlock. This acts as a long lasting sealant, reliably protecting against environmental influences with very effective beading and ultimate deep gloss. It is also a flexible product that has many uses outside of the automotive sector, such as glass and shower doors.

Saban explained that all products are bodyshop safe ad explained how their outstanding performance actually makes them very economical to use. All visitors left with a number of Menzerna product samples to try for themselves.
