Refinish paint specialist Sherwin-Williams provide a glimpse of an exciting future for its brands at the recent Automechanika Frankfurt event.

Following on from the company’s successful acquisition of Valspar last year, key members of the management team spoke about how the acquisition is already generating significant success and opportunities for the combined business and showed that there are more exciting times ahead.

Theo Wemmers, Executive General Manager Automotive EMEA said, "This was a great first event for us as a combined organisation in Europe which generated significant interest in Sherwin-Williams, our refinishing brands and our tools to support digital colour matching. It was also an excellent opportunity to meet partners and customers, explain how we are looking to help their businesses become more profitable and productive. These are exciting times for Sherwin-Williams and we look forward to accelerating the growth potential of our partners and customers."

The Sherwin Williams stand had a 'Mastery of Refinishing' theme, telling the story of its decades of experience in vehicle refinishing as well as its focus on digital innovation. A virtual reality refinishing experience was one highlight and there was great interest in a preview of its brand new digital spectrophotometer, due for release in 2019, and demo of its new online training programme.

Other highlights from the show included a series of launches and announcements about the company’s major refinishing brands, including:

DeBeer - Delegates learned about the DeBeer Difference a combination of products, service and support aimed to make bodyshop businesses more profitable.

Octoral - A bold campaign promoting the visionary approach of this premium brand was featured which uses striking and colourful visuals, inspired by nature, to highlight how Octoral helps businesses thrive today and in the future.

Prospray - It was announced that Prospray will become available in more markets in the EMEA region in 2019, including Ireland, giving more customers access to the brand's passion for perfection.

Spralac BodyWorks range - This range of eight new body fillers, part of the Spralac ancillary range, was also launched at the show.
