If you fancy owning a piece of Rally history then the Silverstone Festival at the end of August is the place to be.

The line up of cars for auction on August 25th and 26th will include three classic cars which were driven by rally legend Colin McRae. Up for grabs are Colin's first rally cars, a Chrysler Sunbeam Ti, a Subaru Legacy RS he used to clinch a British title and an iconic Ford Escort Mk2.

Wife of the late driver says that for most of the year the cars remained locked away and selling them to new owners, would give others a chance to share in his story.

If you want to own one of these classics, you will need deep pockets, as guide price for the Sunbeam is £80,000 to £100,000, the Escort £125,000 to £150,000 and the Subaru £380,000 - £450,000.

The three cars are part of a huge range of classic cars, competition cars and automotive memeribilia up for auction over the Silverstone Festival Weekend.
