Having been selected to join the Michelin Tyre Academy ‘Class of 2016’, three Irish tyre fitters have continued their journey towards becoming expert technicians.

Joining a group of 17 fitters chosen from dealerships of the Michelin Auto Professional network throughout Ireland and the UK, Shane Farrell, Ballon Auto Centre (Carlow); Ryan Mallon, A One Tyres and Andrew Frazer, Carryduff Tyres (both Co. Down) travelled to the company’s Dundee factory for the course’s second module, which combined classroom-based training with a factory tour.

Commenting, Mark Meagher, Retail Programme Development Manager at Michelin, says: “It’s one thing to learn about premium tyres in a classroom, but there’s no substitute for on-site education – and having made the trip to Dundee, Shane, Ryan and Andrew got to see what goes into Michelin fitments first-hand.”
