HOMS Assist has announced the appointment of Stephen Clancy as Motor Engineer and Claims Assessor to the law firm which operates nationwide.

Stephen has over 20 years’ experience in the area of vehicle damage claims and the motor industry, and previously worked with Gerard M Doyle and Assess Ireland as a Motor Engineer Assessor, dealing directly with insurance companies.

Stephen's expertise as a motor assessor is unique in Irish law firms, as he acts as a conduit between insurance, legal and garages. In his new role Stephen will specialise in all types of motor damage claims to achieve the best possible result for the client and aim to leave the client stress and hassle-free.

Working closely with garages and insurance companies, Stephen will ensure the insurance company covers the cost of the work; and that clients secure the full value of the cost of the necessary repairs to their vehicle, including depreciation and diminished value; meaning there is no cost to the person involved in the accident. HOMS Assist will also ensure that the person involved in the accident is provided with a rental car where necessary.

Speaking about his appointment, Stephen said “I am delighted to join the team at HOMS Assist, in a role that will take the burden away from clients in what is traditionally a stressful period following a motoring accident. This is a unique offering which makes sense for garages, as well as for clients, because they don't have to chase and negotiate with insurance companies for payment. It improves cash flow and reduces administrative burden, as HOMS Assist manages all this using a simple and efficient process.”

HOMS Assist is client-oriented law firm operating nationwide, with offices in Dublin, Limerick and Cork.
