The Darkness into Light walk/run recently took place in Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow and Team P R Reilly was happy to lend its support.

The charity event began at 4.45am and was a huge success with over 1000 participants making the journey in the dark. The Baltinglass committee went above and beyond to ensure that it was a success. It was the first time that the event has taken place in Baltinglass and the hope is it will now continue every year.

Pieta House, the centre for the prevention of suicide and self-harm, started this event in 2009 with 90% of their income coming from relentless fundraising. The event in Baltinglass was sponsored by a whole list of different businesses and companies. Team P.R Reilly donated the torches to all of the volunteer stewards to help light the way for the people participating.
