Strongline Autoparts has been appointed as Irish distributor of AMK Automotive Components.

AMK is a premium brand of the BORG Automotive Group and has some 40 years experience as a remanufacturer of automotive parts to ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards. The group is one of Europe’s largest independent remanufacturing companies with over 1400 employees in plants in Demark, England, Belgium and Poland.

Strongline say that the AMK brand offers a new level of quality to the Irish market with a premium range of remanufactured brake callipers for both cars and vans. The AMK product catalogue is fully detailed on TecDoc and callipers are available from local motor factors nationwide.

AMK callipers are remanufactured using a similar process to original equipment production in state of the art facilities with strict quality control checks.

Calipers for remanufacture are completely disassembled and parts not suitable for reconditioning are disposed of. Individual parts are then steam-cleaned and sandblasted and are then subject to further multi-stage intensive inspection, using precision test equipment to measure tolerances.

Suitable parts are then completely reconditioned through galvanising and grinding and parts that require replacement are replaced with new high quality components. They are then subject to a reassembly process that mirrors OE production.

Each remanufactured unit then undergoes a full performance test. Only when this strict testing criteria is met is a unique quality certificate for the unit issued. The company says This strict remanufacturing and quality testing process means that garages can have complete confidence in the AMK replacement callipers they fit.
