Soltec have launched a new on site Safety, Health and Environmental Training and Consultancy service. The new service is designed to ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at work act 2005, Building Regulations, Industry Best Practice and EPA Requirements and Guidance.


Training and Consultancy is led by David Corcoran who holds a B.Sc in Environmental Management, HDip in Fire Safety Practice, Fetac level 6 Manual Handling Instructor, qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) and is a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE).

Specialised training is being offered in the following areas.
  • Chemical Hazard Awareness Training
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
  • Fire Safety Awareness Training
  • Spill Response Training
  • Laboratory Safety Training
  • Handling & Storage of Highly Flammable Materials Training
  • Manual Handling Training
Consultancy services cover; Fire Risk Assessment, Fire Safety Audits, Safety Risk Assessments, Hazardous Materials, Dangerous Goods including ADR and UN packaging.

Under the service Soltec can also produce EPA- Annual Environmental Reports (AER) and PRTR, carry out environmental auditing and act as company’s Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor.
