Reducing the cost of HID bulbs

High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs are sophisticated lighting technology for vehicles. They produce an intense bright light out put, from an electronically controlled gas discharge. As a result, there has been a premium price for replacement bulbs.

The high starting current needed to ignite the gas discharge can be complicated. For this reason vehicle manufacturers have encouraged owners to take their vehicles back to main dealers for replacement. When manufacturers first introduced HID bulbs to their cars, it was claimed that they would last the life-time of the vehicle. In reality, on average, the life of HID bulbs has tended to be 3-5 years.

Combined with the fact that HID bulbs are no longer limited to premium sports or luxury cars, and are now fitted as standard to a wide range of models, more and more motorists are now finding themselves replacing HID bulbs, at considerable cost.

To meet this demand and offer an alternative cost effective solution for motorists, Ring Automotive has a launched complete range of direct OE replacement HID bulbs.

In the range motorists will finds D1R, D1S, D2R and D2S type of HID bulbs. All the Ring Automotive bulbs have a three-year guarantee.

Ring Automotive has also produced a fitting guide to inform motorists on how to replace HID bulbs correctly and safely. More importantly, the fitting guide should prevent motorists from having to take vehicles with HID bulbs back to the main dealer.
