There are still opportunities for technicians to join renowned original equipment manufacturers for a weekend of exclusive and hands-on training at the GTG Academy for Autoinform Live, which takes place this weekend IN Wolverhampton.
Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) members are all prepared and ready to showcase the latest in diagnostics, repair and technology, meaning technicians can bolster their skillset for now and futureproof their workshop.
Banner Batteries and VARTA, for example, will demystify battery technologies and identify the challenges technicians face when replacing a modern battery. Schaeffler, bringing its REPXPERTs to Wolverhampton, will demonstrate how to diagnose and repair modern cooling systems, explain the differences between double clutch systems, and share timing belt and wheel bearing best practice techniques.
Meanwhile, HELLA will focus on ADAS, including a practical demonstration of a vehicle calibration, DENSO is due to cover all aspects of an air conditioning system, and Delphi Technologies will explain how to maximise the use of aftermarket diagnostic tools to identify, resolve and clear fault codes and carry out a calibration of components.
Tom Denton will present an overview of battery electric vehicles and, in particular, fuel cell electric vehicles, clarifying the advantages and disadvantages, while OESAA Garage Forum member, Hayley Pells, will propose a pathway for technicians tasked with servicing or repairing electric vehicles.
OESAA Chairman, Nigel Morgan, said, “The line-up for Autoinform Live is dynamic; it shows a variety of topics and experts in their respective fields, meaning technicians can enjoy a full weekend of training, gaining invaluable insight that will allow them to return to their workshop an even better technician, with more revenue opportunities and offer their customers a greater service.”
