MAM adds value with Autowork Online update

The forthcoming Spring update of MAM’s popular Autowork Online garage management software will introduce several new features designed to help garages operate more efficiently. These will include a  new ‘Suggested Jobs‘ feature which will make it quicker and easier to build estimates and jobs by recommending work based on symptoms or results from MAM’s CarSide electronic vehicle health-check app.

With the latest update vehicle inspection images and notes captured in the CarSide app can now be emailed to the customer via the main Autowork Online application. Autowork Online’s ‘Custom Jobs‘ feature is being enhanced to cater for fixed-price jobs such as promotions or fleet work. The new ‘Complete Price‘ job type will not be affected by the price of its individual components. A further change to the existing job groups system will mean that jobs can be categorised using the same descriptions as those available in the custom jobs screen.

A new Automated SMS feature will help garages encourage repeat business and reduce time lost due to “no shows”. It will enable user-defined text messages to be sent automatically for appointments, reminders and deferred work. Up to three messages can be scheduled for each event, which will be automatically delivered at prescribed intervals.

The release also includes several enhancements to existing functionality. The performance of the work in progress (WIP) screen is being improved, and its tiles will display the assigned technician. Labour rates set against fleet master accounts will be automatically shared to their sub-accounts, and it will be possible to produce a non-priced ‘Schedule of Work‘ for fleet or insurance work.

The Autowork Online Spring release will be rolled out to customers on a staggered basis, starting at the end of April. Users will automatically receive the update as soon as it becomes available for their system.
