Young NGK-sponsored Speedway star Robert Lambert has claimed his first title after sweeping the board at a recent meeting in Poole.

Robert picked up the British Under-21 Championship. The Norfolk born racer won all five of his programmed rides at the meeting and after finishing second in the finals in the past two years, he held his nerve to beat Adam Ellis, reigning Champion Josh Bates and Nathan Greaves.

Speaking after securing his maiden National individual title, the 19-year-old said, “I actually had a dream last night that I finished second again in the final, but thankfully I stayed calm, focused and relaxed and in the final I made a good start and it was easy out front after that.”
NGK Spark Plugs Marketing Manager Mark Hallam said, “We would like to congratulate Robert on his achievement and I am sure he will go on to even greater things in the future.”

NGK, the leading supplier of original equipment spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors, is a leading supporter of Speedway and sponsors a number of top riders including current and four-time World Champion Greg Hancock.
