Ignition specialist NGK’s RaciNGK team is celebrating its fourth class win in the 2016 German VLN endurance season. The team’s black and red Ferrari 458 claimed victory in the SP8 group during the 56th ADAC Reinoldus long-distance race.

After a three-hour head-to-head with rival Weiland Porsche, the team took control after a pit stop and claimed victory after finishing two laps ahead in its class of the second place team. RaciNGK Team Manager Per Baar said, “Today we had to demonstrate our fighting spirit. The Weiland Team was damn fast. However, probably due to technical problems their Porsche had to spend a few minutes longer than us in the pit. We took the chance and, with consistently high pace and only one brief splash n dash, no-one could overtake us.”

NGK,  the supplier of original equipment spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK sensors,  has a long and successful motorsport pedigree, supplying some of the world’s leading two and four-wheel teams with its products and helping teams to numerous victories.
