Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd. has a new Technical Trainer. Andy Walters will help deliver training on the company's three industry leading brands - LuK clutches, INA tensioners and FAG wheel bearings to customers in the UK and Ireland.

The 32-year-old joins the company from DAYCO where he was responsible for helping set up and manage the company's technical department.

He said: "I see my role as supporting our sales team and product managers by supplying professional training to our independent garage and motor factor customers across the three brands."

"All three are very well known and respected in the market-place and I am sure my background will help me provide the technical training our customers require over the coming months."

"I have only been at the company for a short time, but it has been a breath of fresh air, I have really been welcomed on-board and have already learned a lot about the products."

Andy reports to Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd Technical Services Manager Malcolm Short, who said: "We are really pleased to welcome Andy on-board. I am sure he will be a major asset to the company and will help us continue to supply the level of professional training that our customers have come to expect.

Initially, Andy said a lot of his time will be spent on providing training to customers on the company's LuK RepSet® 2CT repair solution for dry double clutch systems.

He added that he will also deliver internal training to staff as new products come on stream and will support the company's technical hotline team (UK Tel: 08457 001100, Ireland Tel: +44 (0)1432 264264).

Outside of work, the father-of-two enjoys golf and motorsport, and owns a 750cc Kawasaki Ninja motorbike.
