Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket has developed its latest new repair solution for dry double clutch systems with the LuK RepSet 2CT for Renault vehicles fitted with the DC4 6-speed transmission. This new product will enable independent garages to repair dry double clutch systems on Renault Megane III and Scenic III models powered by K9K engines.

The company premiered the new repair solution at the recent Equip Auto Show in Paris, where it also exhibited the LuK Special Tool for the professional removal and installation of the double clutch installed in these vehicles. This is a significant addition to the portfolio of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket dry double clutch repair systems having already introduced a dry double clutch repair solution for Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles with a 7-speed transmission.

All of these LuK RepSet 2CT repair solutions are said to offer a  complete and practical repair solution and as well as the double clutch, they provide all the precision-tuned components required for the professional replacement of the appropriate double clutch system. This includes; a guide sleeve, snap rings and fastening screws, plus lever actuators/engagement lever and engagement bearings.

The LuK Double Clutch Tool has also been redesigned with a facility for add-on modules of specific tools needed to repair dry double clutch systems for each vehicle manufacturer, with the basic tool set, when combined with any of the vehicle specific tool modules, offering a complete repair solution.  There is also a special module for those customers who already own the original 2CT tool (400 0240 10).

Schaeffler says that together with training packages, technical brochures, detailed repair instructions and training videos these solutions offer fast and efficient replacement, minimise the chances of error, saving on labour time whilst helping to prevent future warranty issues.
