MS Motorservice International has expanded its product range with the introduction of OE quality control units for fuel pumps. The 19 article range offers comprehensive market coverage and will be expanded to meet changing demand.

Axel Laser, Vice President Product at Motorservice said, "Based on extensive market analyses, we have decided to expand our product range to meet the current requirements of our customers. In addition to environmentally-friendly aspects, the control units impress with their extremely high quality. They are also compatible with approx. 10 million vehicles and therefore cover an immense market volume in the aftermarket." He added, "The articles currently launched are just the start. We will expand our product range in the coming months to achieve an even bigger market coverage."

As a sales organisation for the Rheinmetall Automotive aftermarket group, Motorservice purchases a large portion of its range internally from the group, including the subsidiaries Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg and TRW Engine Components. Customers therefore benefit from products in OE quality.

These control units perform a vital role in ensuring good fuel economy. In the case of an unregulated fuel supply, the fuel pump always delivers at maximum performance in the fuel tank. As a result, excess fuel flows back into the fuel tank via the return line. However, with a regulated or demand-based fuel supply, the fuel pump is triggered by the fuel pump control unit with a pulse width modulation signal (PWM signal). Only the amount of fuel that is required is supplied this is both more environmentally-friendly and more economical. With the regulated fuel supply, the fuel is heated less and the risk of fuel vapour locks is reduced.
