TEMOT International and the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (AAPA) have named Gates as a Global Supplier of the Year.
TEMOT, the influential parts supply group, is one of Europe's largest strategic organisations in the automotive aftermarket industry, with sales in excess of € 7.1 bn across 50 countries, while AAPA sells around $ 2.5 bn worth of parts throughout North America.
Gates were confirmed as TEMOT International and AAPA’s first ever Global Supplier of the Year winner in a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of a strategic buying and marketing agreement between the two global parts giants. The award has been created as a symbol of their global partnership and recognises "the outstanding performance of the best supplier".
The award “Global Supplier 2013” was handed over by John Washbish (President & CEO of Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc.) to Peter Verdonckt (Vice President Sales & Marketing), Frank Nieuwenhuys (Director of Sales) and Wim Goossens (Marketing Director).
From TEMOT International’s side, Mr. Fotios Katsardis (President & CEO), Kai Guijo Müller (Business Development Director), Janne Rouhunkoski (Business Development Manager) and Thomas Kobudzinski (Business Development Director CV) were also attending the awarding ceremony.
TEMOT celebrated its 20th anniversary by presenting suppliers with a special award for "20 Years of Continuous Successful Cooperation and Growth". Gates was among the honoured and proud winners of this Anniversary Award. Evaluated by the shareholders of TEMOT International, both awards were based on the performance of all listed suppliers for the period of twelve months in 2013.
