GKN has extended its range of universal boots with 10 new flexible boots added.

These FlexBoots offer a faster alternative for boot repair and are especially useful when a driveshaft boot is defective and the mechanic does not have the appropriate vehicle specific replacement part at hand. In this situation, the mechanic can still obtain the reliable quality of GKN boots by using the appropriate FlexBoot option.

GKN FlexBoots are linked with the respective vehicle directly and currently cover 1,800 different applications with more applications to come.
GKN points out that FlexBoots will not fit as perfectly as SPIDAN and LÖBRO boots which are specifically developed for the respective joint, but they do represent a convenient and cost effective alternative.

GKN FlexBoots can easily be installed using a mounting cone or a boot slider. This will also save time, as the CV joint does not have to be disassembled.

FlexBoots can be purchased in kits containing one boot, two universal clamps and 80g of grease.

The new products are detailed on TecDoc.
