First Line has added to its extensive cables portfolio, with the introduction of a range of premium quality cables for vehicles with electronic handbrake systems.

The use of electronic handbrake systems, over the usual lever-operated equivalents, is becoming more popular amongst vehicle manufacturers as a way to further improve driver comfort, convenience and safety. However, despite the increasing popularity of these systems, it is has up to now been difficult to source replacement brake cables from the independent sector.

Traditionally considered a dealer-only part, First Line has identified these cables as an additional profit opportunity for the independent sector. The new range includes many popular references, such as, First Line part number FKB6001 for the Renault Scenic II from 2003-2009, and FKB6003 and FKB6002 for the Opel Astra J VI models.

To further endorse this growing business opportunity, all of First Line’s says its cables are manufactured to the highest standard and undergo rigorous testing to ensure premium quality, reliability and longevity. All the cables also have a full two-year/24,000 mile warranty.

The new additions complement First Line’s comprehensive ranges of Brake, Clutch, Accelerator, Speedometer and Gear Control Cables. It also offers the ability to accurately identify references using unique technical layout drawings in the various cataloguing solutions.
