ECOBAT Battery Technologies, formally Manbat, used the Automechanika Frankfurt show as a platform to elevate its Lucas brand to the position of its ‘signature brand’ across the European market. Lucas will now take pride of place in the company’s brand line-up alongside the other premium battery brands the company represents.

Although originating in the UK, the awareness of the Lucas brand has spread to many corners of the globe. It is a prominent brand that commands great influence and possesses a level of recognition and loyalty that is able to transcend national borders. In recent times Lucas has shown impressive growth in Ireland and the UK and as a result of this success ECOBAT Battery Technologies has come to an agreement with the global owner of the Lucas brand to enable it to become the sole supplier of Lucas batteries throughout Europe.

ECOBAT will take on responsibility for not only sales and distribution but also product specification requirements, cataloguing and design. The firm aim is to build on the success that the brand has enjoyed in recent years and to make the Lucas brand the battery choice of preference for both battery fitters and sellers across Europe.
