With 2021 marking the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type, another iconic historic model originally fitted with a Borg & Beck Clutch Kit, the classic specialist is experiencing a rise in demand for all three available Kits, that fit the 3.8 E-Type 1961>64 (HK5229), the 4.2 E-Type 1964>71 (HK9702) and the 5.3 V12 1971>75 (HK9728).

As E-Type’s across the world are being rolled out to celebrate this landmark anniversary, Borg & Beck has increased its stock levels of the popular Clutch Kits to meet demand, particularly as lockdown eases and classic car owners take to the roads to proudly display their beloved vehicles.

When it comes to the design and manufacture of clutch systems and components, Borg & Beck is an iconic brand with more than a century’s worth of OE heritage. More significantly, Borg & Beck was the original Clutch supplier to the majority of British built vehicles dating back to the 1930s and has become the ‘go-to’ option for classic car enthusiasts globally.

Today, the company invests heavily in its Clutch programme and in-house technical test centre, ensuring they have complete control over the design and specification of their Clutch Kits. Utilising their expert product knowledge, the Borg & Beck engineers have made upgrades to the materials, where necessary, to suit the modern driving environment and regulations. The brand still has the original technical drawings and cataloguing for the Borg & Beck Clutches and uses them to ensure the modern replacement version is specified to perform and feel just like the original.
