D&S Roe says that its recently introduced R104 reflective conspicuity tapes, are making a big impact in the market. The tapes are made by Dutch vehicle graphics and reflective product experts Arlon and offer a quick and easy solution to the problem of larger vehicles being seen on the road at night and in poor weather conditions.
Arlon says that studies show that vehicle conspicuity tapes can reduce the number of accidents by an average of 33% in certain lighting conditions. This is not only important from a safety standpoint, but also means a significant reduction in expensive commercial vehicle down time.
R104 reflective conspicuity tapes are easy to apply and feature bright colours which provide excellent reflectivity. This is due to advanced prismatic technology where light strikes the surfaces of the prism and is bounced back to its source. Arlon prismatic conspicuity tapes contain 8000–10000 prisms per square centimetre, which mean very high reflection values from all angles.
The tape is certified to Regulation ECE 104 Class C standard, and is available in white, red and yellow colour options. It is suitable for trucks, vans and trailers and has also proved popular with recovery operators and operators of other working vehicles, such as in construction and agriculture. The strong adhesive means the tape offers up to 7 years durability and is resistant to most industrial cleaning processes and high-pressure power washing.
