Be prepared is the key message to workshops from NTK, the vehicle electronics arm of NGK Spark Plugs, as demand for NCT related work continues to rise.

With many motorists granted a four month NCT extension due to COVID-19, as these extensions expire more and more cars are going to independent garages for pre and post test work.

Faulty Lambda Sensors, particularly in relation to increase emissions, are a common NCT issue and garages are being encouraged to insist on NTK Lambda Sensors to ensure they benefit from their OE performance.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs said, “Demand for testing this autumn is likely to be unprecedented and we anticipate a subsequent increase in demand for our Lambda Sensors. Now is the time to turn to the World’s No.1 in engine sensors. NTK.”

NGK is the world’s largest manufacturer of Lambda sensors under the NTK brand and as an OE supplier to many of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, supplies the same components to the Irish automotive aftermarket.

NGK says the experience it has in supplying car makers worldwide allows it to offer exactly the right sensor for every vehicle application. The company says stockist should encourage garages to always go with a bespoke OE-quality Lambda sensor and steer well clear of ‘universal sensors.’
