The inaugural Automechanika Birmingham exhibition, to be staged at the NEC from the 7th to the 9th June, has become a truly international automotive event with 38% of exhibitors in attaendance drawn from 30 key automotive countries around the globe.
The exhibition boasts two national pavilions from Italy and Spain, with the Spanish pavilion organised by Sernauto, the Spanish Automotive Equipment and Components Manufacturers Association. Each country pavilion has five companies covering products or services for the automotive aftermarket or supply chain.
The scale of the international nature of the exhibition is reflected in the scope of country pavilions, the largest representing China with 61 aftermarket and supply chain companies taking part. Korea, an increasingly important global automotive player, has a pavilion represented by 16 key automotive suppliers while Taiwan has 15 companies exhibiting.
