The Schaeffler REPXPERT team has come up with a solution to a problem affecting transmission repairs on certain VW Group models.

Vehicles from VW group with the DQ 200 transmission and the 1.5L EVO engine now feature a new, 11mm longer transmission input shaft. This means that the old pressing sleeve from the supplementary kit and the original dual-clutch tool no longer fit.

To combat this issue the Schaeffler LuK brand is now offering a special adapter. By using this adaptor installation is smooth and simple. It can be ordered using part number 400 0619 10 from LuK stockists.

Schaeffler is also developing a supplementary kit that will be in production soon, with a new pressing sleeve that doesn't require an adapter.
