The sad death of a devoted BMW fan in his early fifties, has been honoured in an East London Cemetery by a rather unique headstone. Joanne Marsh set out to reflect her husband’s love of the German car marque, known to many as "BMW Steve."

With her children’s help, Joanne found a Chinese headstone maker willing to build a scale-model BMW M3 convertible, completely from granite. At a cost of around €80,000 and weighing in at over a ton, the car is complete with BMW badges and a personalised "Steve 1" number plate. Remembering Steve’s sense of humour, a family member has even added a fake parking ticket.
