The Volvo V40 when equipped with the optional Driver Support Pack has been named as the safest used car on the market for the second year running by Co-op Insurance in the UK.
The award, made for the first time last year, was created in partnership with Thatcham Research. To qualify for consideration cars must have a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating have CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km And be widely available as a used vehicle for a price below £15,000.
One of the plus points of the V40 is its standard Autonomous Emergency Braking while with the optional Driver Support Pack other safety features include pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control and lane deviation and blind spot warnings.
