UFI Filters, a leading company in filtration, thermal management and technologies for the development of hydrogen mobility, will present the technological innovations it has developed for the hydrogen sector at Automechanika in Frankfurt from 10 to 14 September 2024.

The company’s objective is to take an active part in the decarbonisation process by producing innovative, catalysed membranes for both the production of green hydrogen and the transformation of hydrogen itself into electricity. To drive the development and industrialisation of these membranes, the new company UFI Hydrogen has been created, a company that will make its European debut at the Frankfurt trade fair.

The UFI Group has been active in the hydrogen business since 2017 and has already developed devices for the use of hydrogen in fuel cells, addressing issues related to filtration. As part of this it has developed Super Adsorber, the cathode air filter that, together with ion exchange filters, delivers the best fuel cell operation in the mobility sector for heavy-duty truck applications, as well as cars and light commercial vehicles.

In addition to new technologies the UFI Group will also be showcasing its traditional filtration know-how, built from more than 50 years of experience. Indeed, the company boasts an unrivalled OE pedigree, being chosen by 95% of the world's automotive brands and by manufacturers representing 50% of the world's heavy vehicle production. Reflecting this, UFI Filters will also present its innovative filtration technologies for the aftermarket and thermal management at Automechanika.
