Thatcham Research has announced the signing of a collaborative agreement with independent vehicle engineering consultancy MIRA, to create a full service vehicle safety testing capability for vehicle manufacturers.


Thatcham is the UK’s authorised Euro NCAP test Laboratory, one of only eight centres in Europe. The newly-formed partnership with MIRA will provide vehicle manufacturers with a complete range of vehicle safety testing and engineering consultancy services with market leading facilities for both Crash Testing and Collision Avoidance system testing.

Thatcham Chief Executive, Peter Shaw said, “Thatcham Research and MIRA together provide a unique skill-set to assist the manufacturers in their fast moving drive for further safety developments. This collaboration between two world class organisations, provides a complete service offering of Euro NCAP testing and development to the global car makers.”
