Autobiz has learned about a new computerised system called GDS Workshop Manager, which was designed as a low-cost workshop management system. It is a fully integrated application for managing daily workshop activities, creating invoices and maintaining accurate service records.

You can set up menu jobs, make job bookings, producing jobsheets and professional-looking estimates and invoices fast and easy. You can store details of frequently used parts, which can be stock controlled. Detailed service histories can be quickly viewed and printed out. Radio codes and other codes are stored for rapid access. GDS produces invoices and statements, and a VAT return can also be produced. It links to Sage accounts.

New to Ireland and adapted for the Euro and Irish Vat rates, GDS Workshop Manager is already in use in over 20 garages in the republic, where users are very enthusiastic about the system. Brendan Lynch of Ace Motors in Finglas says, “I have tried other systems and this is the best. You can look up customers and their vehicles instantly and produce a fully-priced invoice in seconds. It is unbeatable at the price.”

GDS Workshop Manager costs £395 stg. For more information contact Ian Larmour in Belfast on 0044-845-652-4471 or 0044-7768-428788 or logon to www.garagedatasystems.co.uk
