If you are a seven times motoring racing world champion, then the chances are you have been asked to endorse pretty much everything. But even Michael Schumacher, must have been surprised by the sheer scale of the latest project he has been asked to put his name to. Work will commence later this year on the Michael Schumacher World Champion Tower in Abu Dhabi, which is 787 feet tall with 60 floors and 40 apartments. It is billed as a “luxury residential skyscraper,” and is located on its own private island complete with a private yacht marina.
The giant building is planned as the first of seven similar structures (one for each championship) constructed by German firm ACI Real Estate. Other locations have yet to be revealed. Rumours that the architects plan to create a smaller and more inconspicuous building a safe distance behind and call it the Rubens Barrichello Tower are said to be untrue.
