The Team P R Reilly training centre in Dublin has completed another programme of refinish training, this time with customers from Leinster attending a training course in the application of the latest products from DeBeers.

Using the high production non-sand primer 87-46, the participants prepped and used the primer on e-coated panels, before using basecoat Mazda 41V 3 coat system. This followed an introduction and overview of the new primers, lacquers and base coat tinters.

Those attending were greatly impressed by the covering power of the Mazda 41V 3 basecoat. Customers also learned that the new formula contains the 900 series Metallic Red tinter 9-184 and the painting process was completed using DeBeer fast repair lacquer 8-114 which can be force dried In 5 minutes when baked at 40 degrees or 3 minutes when baked at 60 degrees.

Before finishing up for the day the delegates were shown the blending process for 3 stage pearls. All the participants agreed that the new products introduced by DeBeer will not only speed up the painting process but will reduce the energy costs too, meaning and increased bottom line margin.
