Pringle shines at Galway Summer Rally Jonathon Pringle and Paul Sheridan on their way to Galway success

Jonathon Pringle from Cavan and co-driver, Paul Sheridan took the honours at the Monaghan and Sons, Galway Summer Stages Rally earlier this month.


Leading from start to finish, Pringle drove his Mark II Escort to success and also collected the GRP4 Fabrications, King of the Mark II award for being the leading Mark II competitor.

County Monaghan’s David Cummiskey and Ronan O’Kane finished second in a Skoda Fabia with David Leonard and Niall Brns from Sligo completing the podium.

Father and son, Pat and Jonathon Kelly in a Ford Fiesta finished a creditable 5th overall and being the top Galway Motor Club crew won the coveted Ger Conroy Cup, an award that is competitively fought for among the local crews each year.

Conor Murphy and Michael Hamilton took the Junior category with Donagh Kelly and Conor Foley winning the Historis section in a beautifully presented Opel Ascona.
