There was firm focus on the future at the NTN SNR stand in Frankfurt with two important new product ranges introduced, to reflect changes taking place in the market with regard to new technology and sustainability.

Joining the SNR product line-up is a new range of 1500 sensors, designed to meet the growing demands for electrification, performance, respect for the environment and safety of vehicles, their passengers and pedestrians. This wide range of sensors is designed to meet the requirements of modern vehicles, whether thermal, hybrid or electric. Not only do they optimise vehicle performance, theses sensors also reduce environmental impact, while ensuring greater safety.

30 years ago, SNR created the world’s first ASB speed sensor and building on this expertise the company is now offering premium quality sensors including;
  • Camshaft position sensor (CMP)
  • Crankshaft position sensor (CKP)
  • Engine temperature sensor (CTS)
  • Tyre pressure monitoring sensor (TPMS)
  • Wheel speed sensor (ASB®)
  • Exhaust gas pressure sensor (EGP)
  • Exhaust gas temperature sensor (EGT)
Initially the range will offer some 80% coverage on passenger cars, but the company is committed to expanding this range to offer even better coverage for cars, as well as items for LCVs and HGVs over the coming months.

The second major launch concerned a remanufactured transmission range, a key element in providing more sustainable solutions with a new range of remanufactured constant velocity joints. This initiative aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 75%, while guaranteeing the same performance as new products.
