Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs will be taking its place at the heart of the motorsport industry when it exhibits at the forthcoming 2019 Autosport International Show. The company will line up alongside the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers and teams at Birmingham’s NEC on January 10-13th, with the first two day being trade only.

NGK has partnered some of the most famous Formula One, Rally and other four-wheel teams and drivers to numerous race victories and titles and will be exhibiting at the show on Stand 1454. It recently helped M-Sport Ford World Rally Team’s reigning World champions Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia secure their sixth FIA World Rally Championship for drivers and co-drivers. The teams Fiestas are fitted with NGK spark plugs and NTK Lambda sensors, and the team hosted specific NGK customers at the 2018 WRC legs in Sardinia and Catalunya.

At the show NGK will feature the Mercedes-AMG GT4 race car from Team Parker Racing on its stand. The 510hp four-litre twin-turbo V8 was steered to victory in the 2018 British GT4 Pro/AM championship by Nick Jones and Scott Malvern.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs said, “We are delighted to once again be exhibiting at Autosport International and are looking forward to the opportunity of once again meeting motorsport enthusiasts who follow many of the teams and competitors we support, and also trade visitors. The show always attracts a big audience, many of whose own vehicles are fitted with our spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK sensors. It should be a fantastic event to start the New Year.”

Held at the NEC since January 1991, Autosport International will be celebrating its 29th anniversary next month. The event covers all areas of motorsport, both professional and grass roots, from karting right up to Formula 1.
