NGK Spark Plugs has announced that it will be appearing alongside many motor sport legends later this year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The OE spark plug, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors supplier will once again have a major presence at the event that takes place at the historic Goodwood Estate in Sussex, UK, on June 26-29th.


NGK Spark Plugs Marketing Manager Gerard Irving said, “We are looking forward to exhibiting at the 2014 Festival of Speed as it gives us the opportunity not only to appear alongside our vehicle manufacturer customers but also to meet the people who fit or use our parts. As a major component manufacturer we feel it is important that we support such a fantastic event that attracts tens of thousands of motorsport enthusiasts.”

A host of superstars from motorsport’s past and present will appear at this year’s festival including Formula 1 world champions Emerson Fittipaldi and John Surtees, and Sebastien Loeb, the most successful driver in the history of FIA World Championship motor sport. Also at the event will be Indy car legend Al Unser, NASCAR star Richard Petty, nine-times Le Mans 24 Hours winner Tom Kristensen and former F1 star and  new Porsche sportscar recruit Mark Webber.

Two-wheel fans will also be thrilled with the appearance of 15-time Grand Prix motorcycle world champion Giacomo Agostini and fellow 500cc world champions Wayne Gardner and Freddie Spencer.

NGK Spark Plugs supplies many of the world’s leading four and two-wheel motorsport teams including F1 teams McLaren Mercedes, Ferrari and Mercedes, the Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team, which competes in the FIA World Rally Championship, and Moto GP and Speedway riders and teams.
