Blowtherm has announced two new additions to its spraybooth model range. The new Model World/S is specially designed for the smaller bodyshop, and offers the quality and performance associated with Blowtherm at a very affordable price. The World/S is configured for installation over a concrete excavation, or with a full steel basement as an option. It is fitted as standard with 2 X 7.5kw direct drive motors, and a 260kw heat exchanger. The new Model World /S is priced from €27,000 installed.

Blowtherm Hypercure is a new development, which is available on new Blowtherm spraybooths and also as a modification to existing Blowtherm spraybooths from 2006. This system increases the air speed inside the spraybooth by up to 4 times – with a vehicle in the spraybooth the air speed has been measured at between 1.3 and 2.4 mt/sec. This very high air speed provides the fastest method of drying water based paints. The system is entirely located above the plenum, which means that all the air is filtered, eliminating the dust contamination associated with air blowers. However the best feature of Hypercure is that it requires no additional power, and therefore will actually save money on spraybooth running costs, while reducing drying times dramatically. The system is also economical to install and is considerably less expensive than fitted blower systems.
