Cunningham Higgins, Galway, has been appointed authorised main Sales and After-Sales dealers for Mercedes-Benz light commercial vehicles. Already the Mercedes-Benz passenger car dealer in the city, Cunningham Higgins was founded in 1999 by Niall Cunningham and Joe Higgins.


Commenting on their appointment, Stephen Byrne, Chief Executive of Mercedes-Benz in Ireland said ‘Given their excellent credentials in all aspects of vehicle retailing, we expect their appointment to result in the growth and development of Mercedes-Benz in the region’.

Under this new agreement, Cunningham Higgins becomes exclusive representatives in Galway for the complete range of Mercedes-Benz Vans. To facilitate this expansion of their operations, the company has opened a new dedicated Van Centre centre on the Tuam Road, which will operate independently of their existing car dealership at Ballybrit, It will have a staff of six including their new commercial vehicles sales manager Tony Barbour.

Facilities at new Mercedes-Benz approved commercials dealership include display for new and used vehicles, service workshop and parts store.
