Fitted under the rear wiper arm, the Switch for Tailgate Glass is affected when water infiltrates the housing, causing the micro-switch contacts inside to corrode, resulting in a short circuit. Early models fitted with the original design of this switch had a metal bush where it slid on to the wiper spindle.
