Double success for Yuasa in BTCC season opener
Share:

Yuasa Battery Sales have made the perfect start to their 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) campaign, winning two out of the three opening races at Brands Hatch.

Honda Yuasa Racing drivers Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal each took the chequered in their new Honda Civic Type R race cars. Shedden’s win in Round Two was one of the closest BTCC finishes ever, and saw the Scot cross the line just 0.040 seconds ahead. Spurred on by his team mate’s success Neal then went on to win Round Three despite running the ill-performing softer tyre for the race.

Yuasa has a long and proud heritage in BTCC racing, having sponsored the Team Dynamics run Honda operation since 2010. During this time the battery manufacturer has enjoyed phenomenal success on the track, claiming an unprecedented four consecutive manufacturers titles between 2010 and 2013 and drivers’ trophies in 2011 and 2012.

As the world’s leading battery manufacturer, Yuasa provides a wide range of original equipment (OE) standard automotive batteries and accessories, including the YBX7000 Start Stop EFB and YBX9000 Start Stop AGM ranges for the latest vehicles. The company also offer a complete online fitting system, featuring a powerful battery look up tool with detailed fitting guides and technical information.
