November saw the continued growth of the Dacia brand in Ireland, with sales now up 108.7% year-to-date, with 2,674 new cars being sold in 2014 so far.

Dacia took a 6.9% share in the passenger car market in November and now commands a healthy 2.8% share of the market year to date. It continues to be Ireland's fastest growing car brand in front of well-known established brands such as Hyundai, Toyota, Skoda, Nissan etc., with great interest in the new Duster Commercial also.

The Dacia Duster, Ireland’s most affordable SUV was the best-selling Dacia model (63%) followed by the supermini Dacia Sandero (36%).

Over 42.5% of Dacia models were sold in Dublin with Cork and Louth selling a combined 14.8% of Dacias.

Commenting on Dacia’s superb performance in November, Patrick Magee, Country Operations Manager, Renault Group said: “Dacia arrived in Ireland less than two years ago and its popularity with the car buying public has continued to grow.  Dacia’s clear value-for-money and no nonsense approach have attracted nearly double the buyers than this time last year and it continues to be Ireland’s fastest growing car brand. We expect great things for Dacia in 2015 and with the new 151 registration period upon us, we are seeing great interest at dealerships for the new Duster, Sandero, Stepway and Logan MCV”.
