Nationwide Accident Repair Services (NARS) and Just Car Clinics Group (JCC) have announced that they have agreed terms for Nationwide to acquire JCC for some £13.77m.

Subject to ratification by shareholders of JCC the move will bring together Nationwide’s 70 bodyshops across England, Scotland and Wales with JCC’s network of 30 bodyshops to create a massive 100 branch bodyshop network. Nationwide apparently saw JCC as a good fit geographically for its expansion plans.

Nationwide has made the move with the backing of its new investors, The Carlyle Group. The takeover is expected to be completed in September. The JCC branches are expected to retain the Just Car Clinics name and there are apparently no plans for closures or staff reductions.
