Tipperary driver Pat O’Connell triumphed on this weekends Tralee RallySprint organised by Kerry Motor Club.

O'Connell, a 2 time winner of the event, was fastest out of the blocks once again and completed the first run .6 seconds ahead of the Toyota Corolla of Liam Ryan with Brian Hassett the leading buggy in 3rd O/A. O’Connell and Ryan swapped places on the 2nd run but once again O’Connell came back to win the 3rd and final run and with that, take the overall victory from Liam Ryan/Barry Ryan. Clerk of the Course, Jason Brick, thanked everyone for supporting the event.

Current Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year, Jonny McMullan, enjoyed a successful weekend in the BRSCC British National Formula Ford Championship at Castle Combe Race Circuit. The Irish Sports Council and Dunlop supported driver took a start to finish victory in Saturday's race and the win was followed up by a strong 2nd place finish in Sunday's race. The results mean that Belfast native McMullan extends his lead in the championship over his nearest rival, Patrick Dassault.

In Estonia, there was heartbreak for European Rally Championship leader, Craig Breen. The Waterford driver, who suffered a non finish on the previous round in Belgium, got off to a steady start but a puncture halted his progress. Breen's recovery came to a halt with a handful of stages remaining when the engine expired in his Peugeot 208 T16. Breen's next event will be Rally Finland in 2 weeks time when he restarts his WRC2 campaign.

Dave Fallon took a narrow win ahead of Padraic McHale in the Clare round of the Pat Kerley Doors and Windows Grass Autocross Championship at Kilmurry.
