Dublin based parts distributor Serfac Limited has added double rubber Borg & Beck BECKTEC shimmed brake pads to its product line-up. The new pads will complement Borg & Beck BECKTEC coated discs, offering the aftermarket an outstanding braking programme.

The Borg & Beck brand is part of the First Line Group and is now proving extremely popular with Irish customers.  BECKTEC coated discs and shimmed pads will be phased in to the majority of the Borg & Beck braking range during 2015.

Serfac say the new shims deliver anti-vibration and noise reduction benefits that set them apart from any comparable, premium quality, aftermarket programme. BECKTEC shimmed pads also come with the advantage of all the associated fitting components and wear indicators, where standard, being included with the product, so technicians can be sure they will be able to complete the job efficiently, therefore saving the workshop time and money.

Following the environmentally conscious lead set by the production and application of BECKTEC coated discs, BECKTEC shimmed pads are also kinder on the environment by using a copper free formulation that is less corrosive on the disc.

Borg & Beck BECKTEC shimmed brake pads will become available from motor factor stockists over the coming months.
