The introduction of an all new belt pulley by Continental means it has become the first aftermarket supplier to offer a replacement belt pulley for many of the Volkswagen Group’s EA211 series, three-cylinder engines.

The new pulley is part no. VD1144 and is suitable for use on models such as the Volkswagen Up, Polo and Golf, as well as the Skoda Citigo and the Seat Mii. These pulleys are manufactured at Continental to OE quality specifications.

Continental product manager Adrian Rothschild says, “We would like to thank our customers who responded to our survey in our Technical News bulletin. We asked which products workshops would most like to see from us in the future. We’re currently engaged in a number of development projects, but we have brought forward the market launch of this product based on feedback from our customers.” He adds, “Our goal, after all, is to include customers in the product development process in order to further improve interaction between the manufacturer, distributors and workshops in the aftermarket.”
