Customer-oriented solutions and answers to future challenges that make workshops fit for the future was one of the themes of the Continental stand at Automechanika.

The company was highlighting its latest developments and future plans in areas such as e-mobility, driver assistance systems and remote diagnostics. Continental plans to support workshops with its own bonus programme, which will reward the loyalty of customers, and at the same time promote the development of knowledge. Every time a Continental product is purchased, registered workshops can collect points and redeem them online by simply scanning the product label. Workshops can use these points not only for bonuses, but also for access to training.

Continental also presented a new concept for controlling service processes and accessing repair information by voice command. Aimed at optimising workshop productivity, the project is being developed in cooperation with TecAlliance.

As well as these service innovation the leading aftermarket parts supplier also presented the latest addition to its OE aftermarket parts programme. This will included greater availability of its popular PRO-Kits, which offer a complete package with two timing belts and drive components and now a water pump. Complete packages with V-ribbed belts and a water pump were also on display, with all products shown in attractive new packaging.
