HELLA is expanding its product range for garages.

Battery testers and charges on sale from the end of January 2012

HELLA will offer battery testers and chargers for garages from the end of January 2012 for reliable and efficient service. The range includes the battery testers Basic and Pro, which provide quick and accurate diagnosis. The analysis data can be read off on a clearly structured display. Different battery types are tested using special software, depending on the type, to minimise drain on the battery during diagnosis. The Pro battery tester also comes with a printer to provide the customer with a detailed overview of the diagnosis. The device can also be expanded with an update kit to test 12V and 24V charging systems in addition to batteries. An extended clamp cable (305 cm) included in the kit also simplifies testing.

The fully automatic battery chargers now included in the range run on high-frequency technology. They store the appropriate charging curve for the different battery types. The devices help to maintain the battery voltage within the defined range during repair and diagnostic work. The chargers can be attached to compensate for power drain during servicing on the vehicle. The devices are simple to operate, come with reverse polarity protection and prevent sparking.
