Over 100 technicians have now completed the first Eure!Car Certified Master Class programme and this figure is set to surpass 200 before the end of the year.

These impressive numbers reflect how the new hands-on, practical automotive technical training is being well received with garages right across Ireland. Based around specially adapted vehicles, the courses allow technicians to get real life experience on how to diagnose, trace and resolve technical issues on common engines and vehicles systems.

Anthony Walsh, of Slaney View Motors became the 100th trained Eure!Car technician when he completed a course in Wexford organised by J&S Automotive in conjunction with local motor factor Wexpartz.

Gerard Foley of Wexpartz says the Eure!Car training has been very well received by his customers. He said, “The concept is very good and the customer who attended the initial course said it was excellent. They like the fact that it is local and very well organised by J&S and especially the very practical nature of the programme.”

Gerard added, “Most of the course is spent working on the car, which is something the mechanics can relate to. The cars are very impressive, with their special fault simulation and the trainer was extremely knowledgeable and related well to everyone attending.”

Gerard also pointed out that this type of training was essential to keep independent garages up to speed with fast changing technology. He says all of those who attended are very enthusiastic about doing further training next year, while lots of other garages are now also making enquiries.
