Draper Tools has announced Adam Ellison as its new Sales Manager for Ireland. Initially working alongside Draper’s longstanding Sales Manager for the region, Colin Self, Adam is set to continue Colin’s work overseeing the 105-year-old firm’s growth and expansion in the Irish market.

Adam joins Draper from Ronseal Ireland with more than 25 years of industry experience behind him. He is set to officially take over the reins from Colin Self in July, when Colin retires after a successful 24 years with the company.

Speaking about his appointment, Adam commented, “I am delighted to be joining the Draper team and building on the great work Colin has done for many years. I have over 25 years sales experience and am looking forward to drawing on this in my new role, where I’ll be working with the team to continue driving the Draper brand forward. I’m excited to get started and to get out there and meet all our customers.”

Adam joins at a time of innovation and modernisation for family-owned Draper Tools, which kicked off with the appointment of Matt Sheen as CEO in January 2023 and has seen several new hires and promotions. These include a new Director of Finance and the appointment of Sarah Hartland as Head of Marketing, who is Draper’s youngest member of the senior leadership team at 32 years old.

Originally established in 1919 by Bert Draper, Draper Tools is still family owned and run today by the third and fourth generation of the Draper family. The business remains as committed to growth as ever, with a state-of-the-art new warehouse build recently completed at its UK headquarters. The international operations are also expanding, with the company now exporting to over 70 countries worldwide.

In a joint family statement John, Tom and Joe Draper commented, “We’d like to thank Colin for everything he has done for Draper. He’s been a highly valued member of the team for such a long time, achieving a great deal for the business during his 24 years with us.

While there’s no doubt Colin will be missed, we are all very excited to welcome Adam to the team. We know he’ll be a real asset to the business and look forward to working with him as he leads Draper Tools Ireland into its next chapter of growth and expansion.”

The expansion plans at Draper Tools have seen a recruitment drive with a number of exciting new roles being created across the business. The company is actively recruiting for several roles and welcomes speculative applications too, for details visit www.drapertools.com/careers.
