Despite the variable September weather there was a huge turnout at the weekend for the 2016 "Spirit of Dunboyne" Motorsport Festival. Thousands descended on the Co. Meath town to see a vast array of impressive cars and motorbikes plus a host of other motoring attractions.

This was the 10th Anniversary of this special charity event which as well as the parade laps on closed roads, also saw stalls, children’s entertainment and vehicle displays. Event sponsors included Finglas Auto Parts who attracted great interest from enthusiast promoting Liqui Moly oils and lubricants.

The main event on Sunday saw a wide selection of vintage and classic motorcycles, side cars, supercars, rally cars, race cars and classic cars complete laps of the closed circuit which included a section through the town. Thousands of spectators lined the streets and roadsides to watch the cars and bike speeding by in a hugely impressive display.
